Serenity Beach sits north of the main Promenade, and has grown into something of a surf hub over the past decade — a few surf schools run lessons here, and the beach cafe scene has followed, with relaxed spots serving good coffee and all-day breakfasts.
It's quieter than the Promenade and better suited to actually swimming or catching a wave, rather than just walking. Early mornings are the best time to visit, both for the light and for calmer water.
